She was born in Linn Creek, Missouri to parents Ava and Horsten Hanks. She had two sisters and one brother and they have all preceded her in death.
She was married to Dave Hopkins and they lived in the Alderwood Manor area for 55 of their 69 years of marriage. Her husband, Dave, preceded her in death in 2003. She is survived by her son David Hopkins and his wife, Judy, and granddaughter Wendi (Hopkins) Gillespie, and several nieces and nephews and many friends. Granddaughter Tammi Hopkins also preceded her in death.
She was talented and creative in cooking, homemaking, floral arranging, fashion, and interior decorating. She was active in her church and social affairs.
However her main focus in life was God and her family. We know that there was a
joyous reunion in Heaven between her and her loved ones. She lived every moment of her life clear to the end without any disease leading to her death. She simply lived until her heart beat its last beat.
We will miss her, but we will see her again as the LOVE of Christ completes its eternal circle.
At her request there will be no formal funeral or memorial service. A family gathering
at the gravesite was her desire. She will be buried beside her husband and granddaughter in the Camellia Garden at Purdy and Walters at Floral Hills in Lynnwood.
