Bonnie Darlene (Dolly) Schalow, 85, of Lake Stevens, Washington, graduated to heaven and received her angel wings on Saturday March 2, 2024, surrounded by loved ones after a sudden decline in her health. She was born March 21, 1938 in Olympia, Washington to Leo and Violet Cairns and her five big brothers.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Ross Schalow, her first husband and father of their five children, Bob Leroy Schauman, infant daughter Lola Irene Schauman, sons James Eugene Schauman, John Russell Schalow, and Kenneth Leroy Schauman, her parents Leo and Violet Cairns, brothers Wayne, Richard, Ronald, Robert, and David, great-granddaughter Doris Faye Stumph Grogan, and daughter-in-law Shirley Schauman.
Bonnie attended Acme Consolidated Grade School in Olympia, WA and Mt. Baker High School in Deming, WA. Her life was lived with love and helping others through difficult times; she was the best listener and conversationalist. Her greatest joy was her family; especially the unbreakable bonds that she nurtured with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed many hunting trips, digging clams, picnics, special dinners, and all the fun times creating memories that she shared with others. Bonnie leaves behind the greatest legacy of love and laughter that no one can match. She brought joy no matter where she went. We will miss her more than words can say.
Bonnie is survived by her daughters Leona Stumph and Tracy Ramstead; her sons Gerald Schauman and Steve Stumph; her grandchildren Cherie (Freeman), Cheryl (Adam), Chrystal (Brandon), Chasity (Sean), Levi (Jamie), Matthew (Laurie), Sara (Jeffrey), Jonathon, Robert (Lysha), Jill, Laura (Joshua), DJ (Ebony), Cynthia (Anthony), Christian (Katie), Kimberly (Jason), Kelsee, Kristopher; and many precious great-grandchildren.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Bonnie touched are invited to Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills, 409 Filbert Road, Lynnwood, Wa to reminisce, grieve, celebrate, and support each other.
Her funeral will be held on her 86th birthday on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 1 p.m. Graveside service to follow at Floral Hills Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Everett Animal Shelter. Here is where she found many of her best friends.
