I knew Sergeant Johnson as the main Control Sgt. at SOU during swing shift. Even though I was a new CO, he always showed me courtesy and respect, and he was an authentic person; his body language, to his demeanor, to his unrestrained laughter and unique laugh that I can still hear. Oftentimes I would call around to help relieve mandatory overtimes and he would champion my cause and go above and beyond in his efforts to find out the details for me whenever I would call his extension. Very sad to hear this devastating news. My heart goes out to his family and friends.

Thank you Sgt. Johnson for all of the funny and wacky conversations at SOU Control. You always went off on tangents that made everyone else laugh! Those who got to know the real you got to experience such a kind and genuine human being. This is such a shock and happened way too soon.. I’m gonna miss you and so are so many others.

Thank you Chris  for being one of the good guys @ Monroe doc. I really enjoyed working with you especially in WSR main control back in the good old days. Thank you for coming out of Sou main control to hug me when you had to tell me about our friend Karen  passing. I will forever remember how intelligent and funny you were. I am so very glad I got to know and work with you. It has been a privilege and a pleasure knowing you. Thank you Sergeant Johnson, may God bless and comfort your family. Till we meet again.  ❤️

I am very sorry for the loss of Chris. I have fond memories of Chris driving his black wrangler back in the day. Hiking, camping and all of us joking with each other when we were young men.  Chris was an intelligent person that always had an answer to a question. Rest in peace Chris.

Sergeant Johnson was a big personality !!! Gruff and no nonsense,he took the time to teach me things from his many years of experience at DOC.
I didn't see him consistently, but when I was working at SOU I would chat with him and offer him some home baked goodies. 
What a loss for everyone.....
