Claude was born in Carterville, Missouri to parents Albert Lee Gillum and Gladys Irene Ireland Gillum. As a young man, he joined the Marines, and in 1961 he married the love of his life, Sharon Marie Floyd. Moving to Terrace in 1966. Dad was a mechanical engineer and worked diligently at everything he did providing for his family faithfully.
Claude served as a volunteer fire fighter and an EMT throughout the 1970’s in MLT
Claude was a regular at the Edmonds Senior Center, playing pool every day. Dad also loved golf, stamp collecting, sitting shirtless in the sun, and gardening.
Dad loved to tease and play around, Mom’s really going to miss his sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sharon Gillum; son Faron Gillum(Michelle), daughter Catrena (Ivan) Chaddock, 5 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, and other family.
