I was one of the fortunate people to get the chance to work with Dennis and knew him sense the early 80’.  He was a good friend to all the people at Todd. ‘’people were always # 1 in his life’’.  He was a great craftsman and boss.  All I have is good old memory’s of one of the best guys you’ll ever get to know.

What tragic news. I worked with Dennis at Todds, although in different crafts I got to know him over the years. He was easy going and kind. He will be missed. My condolences to the family.

Having worked with Dennis on the waterfront during the 80's and 90's, I was so saddened to hear about his untimely passing. My sincere condolences to all of his family.

Dennis was a good ol Ballard boy!We spent many good times on the golf course together.We spent a lot of shifts  on Harbor Island together too ! He was liked by all for sure.He was second to none in his craft in the day.We  were always going to get out again on the links, we never made it. We will honor  Dennis later this summer in our  yearly golf memorial tournament he played in many times.Rest in Peace my friend !

Like so many others, I will always remember the ready smile and hugs that greeted us whenever we saw Dennis. Dennis was a very good friend of ours.  Our families were inseperable from the late 80's to the late 90's.   Our kids grew up together and we spent several vacations together.  Lake Chelan every summer, A road trip to Grand Canyon, to California and Vegas.  (Several trips to Vegas / Reno!)   We took ski trips to Steven Pass and spent weekends in Leavenworth.  We had so many laughs during those times and we can still hear that laugh of his.  We would also spend our weekends having  bar-b-ques and playing poker.  Dennis could bar-b-que like no other.  No matter what he cooked you could bet it would be delicious.  
We will miss the Dennis that we knew for all those years.  Thank you for the good times and laughter D.O.

 I met you in the 8th grade. Little did I know we would work together for many years. Of all the years one thing is certain, that smile always came out.One other thing is certain, a big hole is left. You are the best machinist I ever met. We always laughed when ever we met up. You are what give it all youv'e got is all about. Between 1990 and 2000, I had the privilege of working with Dennis at Foss Shipyard. During this time, Dennis enriched my life through the professional knowledge he so graciously shared with me, his  positive attitude, and his ever present HUGE smile!  We lost touch over the years like most folks do, but then many years later, I ran into him at a different Seattle  shipyard - and there was that HUGE Smile again!  It was like we had just seen each other last week! That's how Dennis was!  

I share with everyone the sadness felt by his early departure from this world, but I am also comforted by my belief that his spirit lives on.  Perhaps this is Dennis's final life lesson for us all. For this - and for all the fond memories I have of my time with Dennis - I am truely grateful and blessed.

The Osbjornsen family almays made me feel welcome as I met them though Tracey. I was lucky enough to meet Dennis a couple of times, and truly understand the feeling of loss.
