Donna Lorraine Speedie

Donna Lorraine Speedie (McGee) passed away from complications of dementia on June 29, 2024. Donna was born on March 29, 1942 in Halifax Nova Scotia to Doris Belanger and Donald McGee. At the age of 21, she moved to Turkey, working as the Secretary to the Canadian Ambassador. It was there she met her husband, Norman, who was stationed with the RCAF. They returned to Winnipeg in the late 60’s where they then had their son, Doug. In 1971 they moved to Edmonds, WA where their daughter Danielle would be born. Donna worked as a Real Estate Agent for more than three decades, she loved helping people achieve their dream of home ownership. She loved people, socializing, telling jokes, and laughing. She spent the last 23 years with her love, Jim. They enjoyed cruising and road trips to Reno with close friends Pat and Hans. Donna was preceded in death by her sister, Sharon, in 2023, her husband Norm, her love Jim, and her parents. She is survived by her son, Douglas (Tracy), granddaughters Jillian and Anabelle, and daughter Danielle (Chuck).

An open house Celebration of Life will be held at McMenamins Anderson School on July 24, 2024 from 12-4 in the Patty Murray room.
