Edna Marie Kastning
June 26, 1933 – February 19, 2021
Edna was born June 26, 1933 in Dripping Springs, Oklahoma to Clyde and Helen Henson. The family later moved to Kittitas, WA, where she graduated from Kittitas High School in 1951. Edna met Roger Kastning in 1952 on a blind date, and they married on April 11, 1953. Roger and Edna moved to Mercer Island, WA, where they lived for 7 years with their four children. They moved to Bothell, WA in 1962. In 1979, Roger and Edna moved to Whidbey Island, where they opened "Roger's Auto Glass". Edna also worked as an in-home caregiver for the elderly. They retired in 1998, and moved to Camano Island in 2000, where they lived until 2007. They moved to Green Acres Park in Bothell. She was involved with the Coffee Club at the park. She was preceded in death by her husband Roger, and son, Stephen. She is survived by her children, Brenda, Kevin, and Darin, and her sister, Betty. She loved gardening, reading, and was a strong woman of faith. There was no one she would not help and was there for all. She will be lovingly remembered for her great smile and loving heart. We will miss her dearly. A family service will be held later. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her name to Evergreen Hospice, or First Lutheran Church, Bothell. We also encourage you to do a random act of kindness to honor her generous heart.
