Born on September 11, 1958, in Pakistan, Edna was the youngest of six siblings. She carried the warmth of her birthplace and her family close to her heart throughout her life. Edna bravely migrated to the United States, where she made her home in Seattle, Washington, after getting married. Seattle would become the center of her life for many years.
A true highlight in her journey was the three years she spent in Indianapolis, Indiana, where she welcomed the "light of her life"—her granddaughter, Sophia Hope Stephen. Edna cherished her family above all else and poured her love into every moment spent with them.
Edna will be remembered for her vibrant passions, including her love for cooking and her joy in traveling. Above all, her life was defined by her deep and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ, which guided her every action and provided strength and peace to those around her.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Dr. Asif Sharaf; her loving daughter, Jennifer Stephen, and son-in-law, Shauncey Stephen; and her cherished granddaughter, Sophia Hope Stephen.
Edna’s legacy of warmth, hospitality, and abiding faith will be deeply missed by her family, her surviving siblings, and all who were blessed to know her.
