Elaine Wendy Dawson Anderson

Age 59, passed away on September 6, 2010 in the company of her husband and children, after a courageous 4 year battle with cancer.

Born in Palo Alto, California on April 8, 1951. She spent her life in the Seattle area. She graduated from Ingraham High School in 1969. She attended Shoreline Community College and the University of Washington earning a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology. She was a member of the Archery Team at both colleges. It was during an Archery Tournament, while she was at Shoreline that she met her Husband Larry. She won the woman’s division and he the men’s. They married in 1974.

She loved walking on the beaches at Deception Pass looking for agates, and fourth of July’s at Lake Roesiger. Memorial Day Picnics with the neighbors and visiting museums wherever we traveled. She was an avid gardener, who wasn’t too fond of weeding. She made ceramics as gifts for family and friends and was always supportive to everyone she knew.

Elaine is survived by her husband of 36 years Larry; their 2 children Jennifer and Jeff of Bothell. Also survived by her parents Warren and Jo Dawson of Seattle, Brother Dave Dawson (Gail) of Federal Way, Sister-in-law Connie Dawson of Kirkland, Brother-in-law Brian Anderson (Marnie) of Lake Roesiger, Sister-in-law Lynn Moller (Shaun)of Everett, Brother-in-law Dennis Anderson of Lake Roesiger, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her brother Bob Dawson.
