Ellsworth was born May 22, 1932 in Everett, WA, spending some of his childhood in Holden, Alberta Canada. In 1954 he married Beverly Aanderud and they celebrated 58 happy years until her death in 2013. They were blessed with 5 children, 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
He was drafted shortly out of high school and served on a naval destroyer in the engine room for the Korean War. Ellsworth joined the electrical union right out of high school and retired as an electrician in 1997, he was a loyal employee and remained with Northwest Electric his entire career retiring after 43 years! Ellsworth was an avid outdoorsman. camping, hiking, hunting and fishing with both family and friends. His children, cousins and friends have many memories of these days. Once he was retired, he and Beverly enjoyed many years traveling around North America and taking cruises and trips with friends and family. They also enjoyed a snowbird home in Arizona for many years.
In 2013, he survived a stroke after faithfully caring for Beverly who had cancer, and was a warrior through these last 14 years. During these years he spent time in AZ and then later in his garden supplying us all with beans, peas, potatoes, tomatoes and anything that he felt like growing. Many who knew him knew that he loved music. But you might not have known that he also played the tuba and was in a quartet! He had a wonderful singing voice and could even sing when he could no longer speak very well. He never gave up and his heart and faith were always pointed toward his Lord and Savior, setting a faithful example to those who knew him.
