

Born October 3, 1922 and passed away December 28, 2017. He was born in Sunnyside, Washington. Fred was 1 of 8 children.
Fred married Virginia M. Hanson in September of 1946. They were married for 64 years. They had met in high school, riding the school bus together. Fred survived Virginia when she passed away on September 4, 2010.
Fred served in the US Army from December 1942 until December 1945. He was in the 415th Infantry, 104th Division. He served in France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. He received a military expert infantryman badge in combat, Victory medal and a Good Conduct medal. He loved serving his country and remembering stories about his time in the service.
Fred loved all his brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Everyone loved to call him Uncle Fred and that made him very happy.
Fred was co-owner of Earl and Fred Service Station for 36 years with his Brother-in-law Earl Kimble. Their Station was in Ballard. They loved taking good care of their customers.
Fred loved going to the ocean with his wife. He loved hunting and fishing with his brothers and nephews. He loved having special outings with his sisters.
Fred will be deeply missed by all but never forgotten.
