September 6, 1948 - April 27, 2022
Our beloved Husband, Father, Brother, and Grandfather passed away unexpectedly on April 27, 2022, while surrounded by the love of his family.
Fred was born in Arizona and grew up traveling the world with his army family. Once graduating from high school, he enlisted with the Army in Alabama and served two tours in Vietnam. After his military service he returned home and married the love of his life, Elaine Gregerson, in 1977 and set out working locally driving semi-truck and raising a family. Later in life he returned to college and realized his love of teaching. As the automotive instructor at Bellevue High School, he developed the curriculum for their auto shop program and became a CTE certified instructor for local high schools and colleges on the West Coast. He genuinely loved mentoring young men and women in the automotive trade and was deeply involved in Boy Scouts of America and Sea Scouts. He loved boating, tinkering with cars, building projects, and sharing his knowledge with anyone in the neighborhood who needed help. He was a most loving father to Eric, Kristi, Shaun and Ryan. He is preceded in death by Eric and Kristi. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Elaine, sons Shaun (Carolyn) and Ryan (Caitlin), grandchildren Andrian, Atlas, Harmony and Xavier, while also blessed to be called Grandpa by eight. Additionally survived by one brother Tom Treadwell (Debbie) and numerous extended family.
Private services will be held followed by a Celebration of Life at a later date. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Children’s Cancer Society, Make a Wish Foundation, or the V.A. Hospital.
