Freda Yvonne McKernan

Freda Yvonne McKernan, 85, passed away April 27, 2025 in her home surrounded by those who loved her. Freda was as strong as they come and faced Pancreatic Cancer head on. Her ability to take on the toughest situations showed her strength and selflessness to not only leave this world with Grace and Dignity, but also to help and spread kindness to those around her. Her unwavering faith empowered her to face difficult situations in her life, and this was just another show of her strength.

Freda was a pillar of faith in her church and her longtime commitment as a devoted member of her church community was known to all. She volunteered in almost every way possible; everyone knew they could count on her and sure loved and appreciated all her baked goods and treats.

She had a strong group of friends who played pinochle together for 35 years all the way up to the end. She also spent many years cheering on her Mariners baseball team as well as being part of the Mariners Women's Club for many years. Freda also enjoyed seeing different places. Her travels took her internationally as well as all over the US, including many cruises with her friends and family.

She lost her husband Daniel in 2013, her oldest daughter Jami in 2009, and her youngest son Troy just this year in 2025. She is survived by her daughter Gay, son Evan and brother Eugene. Freda was loved by 12 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren with another one on the way.

Memorial Service will be held at Bethel Baptist Church, 2625 Hoyt Ave, in Everett, Washington, Saturday, May 17th, 2025 at 12:00 p.m.
