

George passed away on September 7, 2012 at Edmonds, WA. He was born in Yakima, WA on November 26, 1930 to Everal and Lucille (Snider) Parker of Selah, WA.
The family moved to Zillah, WA in 1933 where George attended school until graduating in 1948. He then attended Yakima Valley College for 2 years where he met his wife, Joanne Olson of Yakima, WA. They married in 1951 and soon after George entered the Army where he spent 18 months in Japan before returning to Zillah in 1953.
George worked at a retail bakery for several years and then worked for the Carnation Milk Company for 14 years - starting as a house delivery driver to manager of the Yakima division for the last 6 years. The family moved to Edmonds, WA in 1973 where they owned and operated an Arctic Circle fast food restaurant in Mountlake Terrace, WA until retirement in 1997.
George was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed the many trips with his father and later with his sons. The family camped in the mountains and beach whenever possible. Later they traveled with a trailer throughout Washington, Oregon, and British Columbia.
He is survived by his sons, Steve, Kevin, Scott with daughter-in-law Tammy, daughter Deborah, 3 Grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Joanne, his parents, his brother, Robert, and his sister, Frances.
