Hiranand Balchand Ramchandani (Hiroo) was born on September 18, 1942, in Hyderabad, Pakistan to Balchand and Sati Ramchandani. As a young child he moved to Mumbai, India.
In 1969, Hiroo immigrated to the United States to complete his studies. He earned a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering in 1973 and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering in 1977 from Oregon State University. He then moved to the Seattle area where he started his career at Boeing. Hiroo worked for Boeing for over 33 years, receiving numerous awards for his work on their AWACS program at Boeing Defense and Space Group in Seattle.
Hiroo is survived by his wife of 41 years (Linda), brothers (Jagdish and Haresh), sister (Usha), stepdaughters (Donna and Diane), grandchildren (Kendall and Jarod), nephews (Rahil and Sahil), aunts, cousins, and many more loving relatives.
Hiroo was known for his quiet demeanor, exceptional intelligence, and extensive knowledge. One of his most endearing qualities was his unwavering devotion to his family. Hiroo was a patient, caring, and generous man beloved by everyone in his life. He will be deeply missed and remain forever in our hearts.
