Born on December 4, 1949, in Turkey, Inci immigrated to the United States at the age of 19, settling in Seattle near her brother, where she began building a life defined by resilience, creativity, and love.
Inci became well known as the “Sod Lady” during her years at JB Instant Lawn, where she was their most tenacious salesperson. Her determination, quick wit, and unwavering dedication earned her the admiration of coworkers and customers alike.
Beyond her work, Inci was a deeply creative soul. She poured her love into handmade children’s clothes, one-of-a-kind Christmas decorations, and beautifully drawn portraits. Her home bloomed with garden flowers, and she found joy in watching the birds that visited her yard.
A lifelong Beatles fan, Inci especially adored the A Hard Day’s Night album, which she played endlessly in her trusty Chevy Monte Carlo until the cassette wore thin—a soundtrack to the many drives of her life.
Inci is survived by her loving children, Hal Lind and Semra Riddle; her cherished grandchildren, Caleb, Seth, and Elise; her dear brother, Attila, and sister, Aysu. She is reunited in peace with her beloved sister, Emel.
Inci’s warmth, creativity, and spirited presence will be deeply missed but forever remembered by those who knew and loved her.
A private family service will be held to honor her memory.
