During this time, they moved to Everett, Washington so her mother could help her sister which had terminal cancer. Ardith got a job in Puyallup, Washington coloring black and white photos by hand. During that time, she met William C. Wolsey, and in 1944 they were married. In 1945 they had Jack C. Beaman and a year later they were divorced.

Ardith loved baking cookies and banana bread to share with her friends and neighbors. She was grandma Ardith to many. She was involved in many activities in her neighborhood and with YMCA. They entertained many people in their home during holidays and they had many pool parties at their home in Marysville, Washington.
In January 2016, at the age of 95, Ardith moved to Bismarck, Arkansas to be closer to family members. She enjoyed her home in the woods, watching birds and deer, going for walks and traveling with family. During the time she lived in Arkansas, she got to visit her hometowns in Minnesota. She got to go to Mount Rushmore Memorial, Crazy Horse, Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Mesa Verde, Noah’s Ark, Washington DC, New York, Niagara Falls, Battle Creek Michigan, St. Louis, San Diego and other parts of California and other states.
