Jake was born on January 17, 1929, in Gnadenthal Village, Manitoba, Canada. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and servant of Christ, Jake dedicated his life to faith, family, and ministry. His journey of service began early and continued throughout his life, most notably through his decades of work with King’s Garden, now known as Crista Ministries. His tireless efforts and unwavering devotion helped shape a legacy of compassion, faith, and community that continues to impact countless lives.
Jake’s life was marked by humility, integrity, and joy. He had a servant’s heart and lived out his faith in tangible, everyday ways. Whether through quiet acts of kindness or his faithful leadership, Jake’s example inspired all who knew him.
He is lovingly remembered and survived by his children: Norm (Janice) Pauls, Tim (Renae) Pauls, Betty (Brad) Cheek, and Barbara (Jeff) Ellingsen; seven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. His memory will continue to live on through the generations he loved so deeply.
Jake’s was a life lived for the glory of God — and now he rejoices in His eternal presence.
