James (Jim) Gennette Sr. died May 24, 2013 in Bothell, Washington. Jim was born August 29, 1919 in Aurora, Kansas to Hector and Matilda Gennette. Jim served in World War II in the US Navy and worked his 42 year career with the Union Pacific Railroad, retiring in 1986 as a dispatcher.
Jim married the love of his life Joan K. Waldo in Boise, Idaho in 1942 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Jim is preceded in death by his wife, Joan, daughter, Ladonna Kay, son, James Jr. His sister Martha and brother Thomas. Jim is loved and survived by his daughter Mary Ann, son in law John Moyer, and son Bob, 6 grandchildren, his great granddaughter, his great-great granddaughter, and sister Marge Lyster of Tigard, Oregon.
Services will be planned at a later time at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church in Beaverton, Oregon.
