I had the wonderful experience of working with Jenet for many years.  She was always kind and thoughtful.  I am sad she is no longer with us.  I know she is in the loving hands of  God who she was devoted to and always respected.

I transferred to Jenet's department at Symetra (Safeco) sometime in 2000 when she became my manager.  We worked together until she retired.  During that time she taught me so much about the business and about being a leader.  She later promoted me to manager.  I'm not the extrovert type and many people would have passed me over, but she could see things in me others wouldn't have and gave me a chance.  It worked out well for me and Symetra.  Because of her I had so many opportunities I didn't think I would ever have.   

She was a gentle leader with an ever present positive attitude and calmness.  She had such great business sense and a logical thought process that she was able to teach.  

Aside from work, we also both enjoyed sewing and quilting (although I never measured up to her quilting talents).   I owe Jenet a lot.  She was such a great example at work and as a human being.

I'm sorry she's gone and wish her family peace and comfort during this difficult time.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.  I was heartbroken to hear about Jenet's passing.  We met in 2001 when both of us worked at Safeco (now Symetra).  Jenet was a mentor and friend, and she touched my life in such a meaningful way.  I learned so much from her, the way that she always listened to each person, saw the best in each one of us, lifted us up the way that genuine leaders do so well.  She explained that JOY is such a special blessing.  While happiness depends on circumstances that are often outside our control, joy is a choice that we make daily, regardless of the situation.  The last time that we spoke on the phone was on 8/2/2023.   We did not say goodbye because I planned to see her during my next business trip from Miami to Seattle.  She was an incredible lady who is now in the presence of the Lord.  May our dear friend, Jenet, rest in peace.

So many thoughts about Jenet and your family..l grew up with you and Jenet and she was a friend.  Esperance years and King's years, the memories are coming back.  She was so accomplished, l always looked up to her.  We lost track of each other these last years but l always consider my friend.  She is alive and well and we will see her soon.  May God comfort you all as you grieve through this time.
