Chacko was born on August 2, 1944, in Aluva, Kerala, to John and Aleyamma. He was one of eight siblings: Susy Jacob, Pastor John Thomas, Leelamma Varghese, Aleyamma Samkutty, John Rajan, Daisy Mathew, and Ammini Joby.
In 1969, Chacko married Saramma at Koottala IPC Thabor Hall. Together, they were blessed with two children, Mini (married to Sabu) and Biju (married to Jessy). Chacko was a loving husband and father who cared deeply for his family and led with quiet strength and humility. He was also a grandfather to four grandchildren — Delsey (married to Melvin), Benito, Denil, and Benjamin — whom he adored dearly. He never missed an opportunity to show his love, whether through gifts or simply spending time with them.
Chacko worked as a driver for most of his career in Kerala before moving to the United States with his family in 1993. A hardworking and humble man, he served faithfully in multiple jobs he took on since relocating, never seeking recognition but always giving his best behind the scenes. After retiring at the age of 65, he stayed with his son and family.
While he was in Kerala, he was a member of IPC Thabor Hall, Koottala. After relocating, he became a member of India Christian Assembly of Seattle, led by Pastor Victor George.
