John Vernon Evans

October 23, 1951 – April 7, 2018
Obituary of John Vernon Evans
IN THE CARE OF

Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills Funeral Home & Cemetery

John V Evans passed away at home April 7, 2018 surrounded by family. John fought a strong courageous battle with cancer to be with his family and to meet his great-grandson Kaiden. John was a strong, generous, compassionate and fair man who influenced many.

Survived by his beloved wife Patricia, his sisters Louise Ramuta (Ron), Joan Mendenhall (Rod) and brother Dan (Therese). Grandchildren Elizabeth Evans, Kyle Evans, Arielle Evans and Ashley (Ace) Evans and Great-Grandson Kaiden. Special thanks to Marizel Estavillo for all her help. John had a special love, joy and devotion for each of his grandchildren, who considered him their dad.

John had a special affection for pinball and played every Sunday with Dale, who he also enjoyed annual road trips touring the country on their Harleys. John was a Seattle Seahawks season ticket holder, enjoyed fishing and camping, his babies Thor and Scout, but his greatest joy was time spent with his grandchildren.

Proceeded in death by sons Jeffery V. and Samuel A. and parents Stanley and Bernice Evans.

John was the owner of JVE Mechanical Contractors and a member of The International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, Iron Ship Builders, Blacksmiths, Forgers & Helpers, AFL-CIO, CLC. Local 502.
