John Douglas Sayles, born on September 17, 1947, in Cedar Rapids, IA, peacefully passed away on May 10, 2024, in Bothell, Washington, at the age of 76. John was a proud Air Force veteran, serving his country with honor.
He is survived by his son, Ken Sayles (Nora); daughter, Kristen Boggs (Jason); brother, Pete Sayles; and sister, Jan Meinhart. He will be greatly missed by his loving grandchildren, granddaughter, Paige Smith (Fletcher); granddaughter, McKenzie Morgan; grandson, Gavin Boggs, and grandson, Stephan Sayles.
John was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Catherine Sayles, who passed away in 2021.
John was a stoic and quiet man, but loved like no other. His family meant the world to him.
The compassionate team at Floral Hills in Bothell, Washington, is assisting the family with the funeral arrangements. John will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
