

Joe was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota to parents Albert and Chloe Fisher. He moved to the Seattle area to live with his aunt in his late teens.
Joe met his wife, Virginia (Ginny) Roma in 1965 at a party she was not supposed to be at. They were married in 1968 eventually having four boys over the years. Having no family in the Seattle area, Joe became a welcomed family member of his in-laws and acted as an active older brother.
Joe held many jobs over the years, eventually finding his niche as a truck driver. He began driving for McMillan-Piper Trucking in 1980, where he continued to work until his untimely death. Another passion of Joe’s was working as an umpire for baseball and girl’s fastpitch softball. Baseball/Softball associations he was active in were: South Snohomish County Softball, Snohomish County Baseball, Seattle Metro Softball, District 1 Little League, South Everett Little League, Great Northwest Athletic Conference, Puget Sound Umpires, ASA Softball, and NSA Softball.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents and all three of his siblings, Jack, Berta and Rocky.
Joe leaves behind his loving wife of 48 years, Virginia; 4 sons, Rob Fisher, David Fisher, Cameron Fisher, and Brent Fisher; 5 grandchildren Mitchell, Austin, Sydney, Easton, and Keegan; as well as one great-granddaughter arriving this coming April.
There will be a visitation at Purdy and Walters at Floral Hills 409 Filbert Road Lynnwood, WA on Thursday, February 25th from 11am-1:30pm. Service will be across the street at the Northlake Christian Church 19029 North Rd, Bothell, WA 98012 at 2pm. All are welcome to attend.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any Little League or the American Heart Association.
