

Julia Ann (Paulsson) Meader was born on March 20, 1955 in Spokane, Washington to Anders and Helen (Nordberg) Paulsson. As the youngest of ten children, she was a cherished, special blessing. She passed away at age 70 on March 3, 2026.
Julie attended Regal Elementary and Shaw Junior High in Spokane, Ballard High School in Seattle for two years, and graduated in 1973 from Coulee City High School. Julia then attended Seattle Community College for two years and graduated from Seattle Pacific College in 1977.
Julia began her teaching career at Coulee City Elementary School in the third grade. Julia met Rich Meader while attending Seattle Community College and they were married at Coulee City Assembly of God in 1979. Rich and Julie moved to Seattle, where she taught first grade at several Christian schools in the Seattle area, including Calvary Temple, North Seattle Christian and North Shore Christian Academy.
Julia had a love for art and could make art out of anything: rocks, paper, string. She enjoyed teaching her young students and her dedication made a difference in their lives. She enjoyed long conversations with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Anders Paulsson; brother, Philip Paulsson; mother, Helen (Nordberg) Paulsson; and sisters, Elizabeth Funk and Beulah Whitlow. She is survived by her husband, Richard Meader, four sisters, Grace Holmes, Ruth (Phil) Isaak, Sarah (Dave) Schlewitz, and Sharon (Tim) Greeley and brothers, Daniel (Alta) Paulsson and Anders (Debbie) Paulsson. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews, cousins and one aunt. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A memorial service will be held at Coulee City Assembly of God on March 28, 2026 at 1:00. Memorials may be made in her honor to Samaritan’s Purse and Convoy of Hope.
