Kathleen Tina Ann Mentele

Kathleen "Tina" Mentele passed away in the early morning hours of November 13, 2017. She was born on December 29, 1959, in Inglewood, California, to Edward and Elizabeth "Betty" Phelan. Tina grew up in Manhattan Beach, where she garnered lifelong friendships. In 1979, she moved to Washington State, where she later became a Cosmetologist. In 1988, Tina married Steve Mentele. In 1989 she gave birth to her son, Alexander. In 1992, she gave birth to daughter, Danielle. They later moved to Everett. Tina loved to travel: She visited the Washington and Oregon coasts, Mexico, Western Europe, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Jamaica and South Korea. She also loved her dogs, Reggie and Bella, her cat, Itty, and newt, Harry. Tina was a die-hard Seahawks fan. Tina was preceded in death by her mother and father, and survived by her husband, Steve, children, Alex and Danielle; brothers, Dennis, Dan and Michael Phelan, sisters, Mary Poole, Patty Carpenter, Susan Hunsaker, and over 30 nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at Sonrise Christian Center (11625 Airport Road, Everett, WA) at Saturday, December 2, 2017, at 1pm.
