Kimberly Whitehead unexpectedly passed on Saturday, July 3rd, 2021.
Kim was a daughter. She was born to Linda Burch only 38 years ago in Seattle. The loss
of a child is something no parent should have to experience. Linda, from the very first
breath to her last, you were no more than a phone call away. You raised an amazing
woman that was known and loved by so many. Hour by hour will turn to day by day and
this too shall pass.
Kim grew up with her brother Chase Nickels. Siblings are so much different than any
other relationship. They fight like cats and dogs, yet they will not let any outsider ever
hurt their brother or sister. The bond between siblings can be great, as it was between
Kim and Chase. Chase, she will always be with you and always be watching. When you
do something stupid, she will be laughing. When you are hurting, you may not feel it,
but she will be right there with you as always.Kim was a wife. She and Curt met in 2004 and married in 2013. Staying in a relationship these days seems to get harder and harder. It’s so rare, yet inspiring, when you hear of couples that have been married 20, 30 or 60 years. Curt, you both vowed,
through good times and in bad until death do us part. You have fulfilled your vows. She
will continue to be with you always. Whether it’s a comforting warm feeling or a
haunting chill up your spine, I imagine she will always be right there with you and will
never leave you, even if you cannot see her. Kim was a mother. Summar Muller and Cameran Whitehead are both adults now. Kim was a “Step-up-mother”. She chose to love Summar and Cameran as her own. There are very special people that step up and will be a true parent to a child no matter what their
DNA is. Summar and Cameran, I know Kim loved you like her own. Not all “StepParents” are like this. Kim carried Kaliyah Whitehead (15), Nikko Whitehead (12), Calin Whitehead (10) and Aurielle Whitehead (2). Kiddos, your mom adored each and everyone of you. Never forget that. Remember the good times. It might hurt, but never forget them. Talk about the funny times with eachother. Talk about the sad times with each other. Look at the pictures and the memories. There are PLENTY because SHE LOVED
YOU!
Kim was a niece, cousin, aunt, daughter-in-law, sister-in-law, friend, coworker,
childcare teacher and so many things to so many people. She had friendships that were
30+ years and new friendships with people that were only just now lucky enough to
meet her. If you were lucky enough to know her, you know how amazing this woman
was and I am sorry for your loss.
