Lacey Marie Sattler, born August 8, 2000, passed away peacefully in the early morning of Saturday, November 3, 2018 after a long battle with digestive issues related to having Gastroparesis. Lacey was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Mike and Deanna Sattler. Before she was one, Lacey and her family moved to her mother’s hometown of Everett, WA. where she lived out her entire life.
Lacey was a sweet, quiet soul who loved swimming, gymnastics, dance, and piano. She was an outstanding student, currently a Senior, attending Running Start at Cascadia Community College through Glacier Peak High School. Her career goal was to be a first-grade teacher where she felt she could make the biggest impact on children. Lacey’s ultimate love, though, was of animals. Her all-time favorite moments were spent with her beloved animals she’d had since early childhood and her newly acquired kitty, Belle.
Lacey was also filled with compassion, always advocating for those less fortunate than her, and befriending those with special challenges in life. She was particular in her friendships, always ensuring like mindedness and empathic ability in those with whom she surrounded herself. Lacey will be terribly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Lacey was proceeded in death by her maternal Grandmother, Rosaleen Rowe, paternal Grandmother Mary Drapier, and paternal Grandfather, Glenn Sattler. She is survived by her parents, Michael Sattler and Deanna Sattler, both of Everett, WA.; her Grandparents Joe and Sheri Rowe of Anacortes, WA.; her Auntie Angie Rowe of Seattle, WA; Uncle Bob Rowe of Elk Grove, CA; Aunt Tera Wren of Marysville, WA; Uncle Jerry Sattler of Spokane, WA; Aunt Cindy Stenhouse of Canada; Aunt Julie Peloquin of Canada; Aunt Desiree Sattler (Brian) of Vancouver, B.C.; Aunt Marcie Sattler-Smith (Kelly) of Calgary, AB; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services for Lacey will be held at Floral Hills at 409 Filbert Road, Lynnwood WA 98036 on Saturday, November 17th, 2018 at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations to EvergreenHealth Hospice at https://www.evergreenhealthfoundation.com/ways-to-give/donate/ under Designation ‘Hospice Services’. This is an organization full of living angels!
