

He was born in Seattle, Washington on August 13, 1938, to the late Ira and Edna Pancoast. He attended Foster High School and in his senior year in 1955 he enlisted in the United States Navy. During his years of service in the Navy from 1955 to 1960, he was formed into a man who understood responsibility and sacrifice. While on leave in 1960, his life changed forever when he met Ynes McNallie. Their meeting was the beginning of a lifelong devotion that anchored him long after his Navy days were over in 1966. They were married later that year in November and began building their life together, the beginning of a family he cherished with all his heart.
Larry completed his active-duty service in the United States Navy in 1966. After his military service, he built a respected career as a technical writer, where his precision, clarity, and steady work ethic were valued and admired.
He was a kind and faithful man. He was steady and dependable to everyone around him. His pleasant personality made him easy to love, and he carried a joyful spirit wherever he went. He loved to laugh, and no matter what the circumstances, he always found a way to bring humor into the moment. He was loved by many, and his influence will remain forever in the lives of all who knew him.
His beautiful life will be cherished forever by his wife, Ynes, and in the lives of his children, Robert Pancoast residing in Seattle, WA, Sherry Brown and Stephen Brown (Son-in-law) residing in Snohomish, WA, along with his grandson, Jordan Brown.
