Larry Alan Seaberg, age 80 of Brier, Washington passed away at his home on September 27, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Larry was born to Swan and Virginia Seaberg in Seattle, Washington on April 13, 1946. Larry graduated from Bothell High School in 1964.
After high school, he tried a couple of different jobs
but found his home when he joined the Boilermakers Union Local 104 in 1966. He began his career building railroad cars, then ships and ferries, water/oil tanks, coal/nuclear power plants and oil refineries.
He was quite a rabble rouser in his early years and took pride in being a good union man. Even if it got him in trouble,
he was never afraid to stand up for what was right. In 1974, Larry met Donita Stoneburner of Mountlake Terrace Washington and after a successful courtship, he asked her to marry him. He often said that was the best decision he ever made in his life. Larry and Donita married in 1977 and had 3 children together, Stephanie,
Michele and Erik.
When Larry was not working, he spent time with his wife and family traveling all over the U.S. and Sweden where his father immigrated from. He was an active member of the Swedish Club and the Nordic Heritage Museum in Seattle. Larry was proud to carry a union card, and he never quit fighting for working people even after he retired in 2009.
Larry loved life and had a sense of humor that was always sure to put a smile on anyone's face. He will be greatly
missed by his family, friends, and coworkers. Larry was preceded in death by both his parents and his sister Janet. He is survived by his wife Donita, daughters Stephanie, Michele, Linda and his son Erik.
A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at Purdy &
Walters Floral Hills, 409 Filbert Road in Lynnwood WA 98036 on Saturday, October 24, 2026, beginning at 2:00PM.
