Lulu passed away in the arms and presence of her grandchildren, Kirsten Sabin and Daisy Buss and her daughter-in-law, Debbie Feyes. The song Down in the River to Pray by Alison Krauss was playing in the background. Lulu went peacefully and surrounded by love.
This well loved woman is survived by her son Glen ‘Duane’ and wife Bonita ‘Bonnie’ McKinney; her son-in-law Michael Feyes; brother-in-law Clinton McKinney, 6 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great granddaughter.
Lulu is preceded in death by her parents Clara Belle Funk and Earl Eugene Sabin; Husband Glen Arthur McKinney; her three sisters Elenore Ross Egbert, Louise McKinney, and Clarrissa ‘Toots’ Carr; Her daughter Glenda Lou Feyes; Grandson Shawn T. Blalock and infant brother Franklin Funk.
A private graveyard service will be held for her on Thursday May 21st at 2pm, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband and sister. Please make donations to your local Children’s Miracle Network in Lulu’s honor.
Lulu was small in stature, big in heart. “This little light of mine”…(ours) was always a safe refuge and feeling of home for all that knew her. May her little light shine bright and forever lead us home…where we will meet again.
