Margaret Betty "Betty" Elizabeth Boyd

Margaret Elizabeth Boyd, better known as Betty was born on 6/25/26 to Margaret and Roy Wheat in Seattle. She passed away peacefully in her home at Brookdale in Mill Creek, Washington on July 27, 2017.

She is survived by three adult children: Susan (Earl) Goshorn, Gary Curtis, and Donald Curtis. She is also survived by four granddaughters, Patricia Perry, Sherry Maxx, Lori Mitchell & Jenna Curtis, along with eight great grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her youngest son, Johnny Geldrich in 1977 and her husband Robert Boyd in 2008.

Betty was the eldest of six Wheat children. She is survived by her brothers Roy John Jr., (Buck) and his wife Dee Wheat, Bill Wheat and his wife Rosalie, and Larry Wheat. Her sisters are Roberta (Jim) Taipale, and Gerry (Wheat) Eagle

She graduated from Bothell High in 1944, lived in California and the Bothell area during her married life. She and her late husband Bob moved back to the Bothell area permanently in 2006. Betty was involved with the Northshore Senior Center helping people with improving their memory. She loved playing pinochle with her friends at Green Acres and Brookdale. Visitation will be Sunday August 13th starting at 9:00 AM, followed by Funeral service at 1:00 PM, all at Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills Funeral Home and Cemetery, 409 Filbert Rd, Lynnwood, WA 98036.
