

Margaret was born June 4, 1928 in Great Falls, Montana to Stephan and Ann Catherine (Mohr) Bosch. She was raised on a farm north of Great Falls that was the original Homestead. She graduated from Great Falls High School in 1946. Where she was editor of the school newspaper and very involved in all school activities as discussed at her 50 & 55 yr. class reunions.
Margaret is survived by her husband Jay Kinzel of Snohomish, her son Ronald E. Sprouse of Port Orchard. Nephew Roger & Donnie White of Great Falls, and Niece Kathleen White of Conrad, MT and Diane White of Highland, CA. Step daughter Tracy Smithson of Ft. Worth TX, Step Son Todd Kinzel of Kenai, AK. Step grandchildren Cydnee Elliot & Baylee Smithson of Ft. Worth, TX, and Christian Kinzel of Kenai, AK.
She was preceded in death by her sister Anna Marie White, Brother In-law Fred White, parents and grandparents.
Margaret lived her life to the fullest starting at the young age of 10 when her dad taught her to work on the wheat farm while still in grade school. Then at the age of 47 in 1947 while she was working for Leo McNeel Insurance Co. her dad passed away of a heart attack. Margaret went to school at the college of Great Falls with a major in Chemistry while working at McNeel Insurance Co. She was faced with keeping the farm functioning while her prospective brother- in- law was in the Navy and not yet discharged. Upon his discharge, Fred White married her sister Anna Marie Bosch, and took over the farm.
Margaret then went off to college at the University of Montana in Missoula majoring in Chemistry. After graduating from the University in 1950 with a degree in Chemistry she went to work at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane, WA. She headed the Hematology department under supervision of William A Dittman MD, (Hematology is the study of blood and the blood forming organs). They established the first Chromosome Laboratory in the Northwest Region to study diseases of the blood.
In 1956 she relocated to Los Angeles, CA and worked for Kaiser Hospital on Sunset Boulevard while attending University of Southern California to further her Hematology study. After working at Kaiser Hospital and Moore-White Clinic relocated back to the Northwest where she worked at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane and then transferred to the Tri-cities where she managed the Medical Technology Team at Kadlec Hospital in Richland.
While at Kadlec Hospital Margaret was a representative to the Washington Hospital Association which she greatly contributed to with her common sense approach to resolving cost / medical concerns prevailing in the Hospitals across the state.
Due to health concerns and after a 25 years career in the medical field Margaret left and went back to Business College to refresh her secretarial and shorthand skills. After graduating she went to work at GTE as a secretary. Margaret’s English, Typing and Shorthand skills were impeccable and she was a valued member of the management team at GTE.
In 1988 she married Jay Kinzel, who was employed by GTE/Verizon in the capacity of Area Manager Customer Operations. Jay’s career took them too many locations throughout the Region: Coeur d’Alene, Idaho: Hillsboro, Oregon: Dallas, Texas and Everett, WA where they currently reside. In 2006 after 40 years in the telecommunications industry Jay retired to spend more time with Margaret and their hobbies gardening, investment management, exercising at the YMCA, and traveling.
Margaret has one son by a previous marriage that graduated from Washington State University, WSU, as a Mechanical Engineer. Ron is currently employed with a company based in Mukilteo, Washington. Ron’s current project the past several years has been designing and building a wing jig for Airbus’ A380 in Manchester, England. He has made 8 flights over the ocean from Seattle, WA to Manchester, England. Ron was a very special gift to Margaret and she raised him with a firm but loving hand.
Margaret was a longtime member of the Snohomish County Master Gardeners Program and was awarded for outstanding leadership as Coordinator for community clinics – South in 2001, and Master Gardner of the Year in 2000 & 2001. She loved working with people and helping them resolve gardening problems while recommending “earth friendly” solutions for weed management and pest control.
Margaret was a member of the Snohomish County Dahlia Society, and outstanding seamstress and wonderful cook. She liked all food with the exception of Broccoli, but liked to try new combinations and develop new recipes for tasty dishes.
