

Margaret Tulloch Jamieson Radach, 86, passed away Wednesday September 4, 2013 in Lynnwood, WA. She was born on April 3, 1927 in Minneapolis, MN to William and Susana Jamieson. Margaret retired as a Registered Nurse and was a member of Maple Park Lutheran Brethren Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Bill and David, and two sisters Kay and Isabel. Those left to cherish Margaret’s memory include her husband Richard Harold Radach; son Victor William Radach; two daughters Kay Ellen Latiner and Janet Sue Fitch. Memorial Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday Sept. 21, 2013 at Maple Park Church 17620 60th Ave W Lynnwood, WA.
Margaret Radach was born Margaret Tulloch Jamieson on April 3, 1927 along with her identical twin sister Janet Duncan Jamieson in Minneapolis Minnesota. She was a member of a large family of nine with two sisters and four brothers. While in school Margaret was a member of the Girls Athletic Association and excelled in competitive sports especially swimming. During World War Two during her high school years, she was a member of the Civil Air Patrol and worked as a lifeguard at local lakes during the summers. After graduating from high school in 1945, she went on to attend nursing school. She received her Registered Nurse Certification in 1949 in Kansas City, Kansas. Margaret then joined the Alaska Native Service and worked in a Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital treating tuberculosis patients. While in Sitka, she met and married Richard Harold Radach in May 1954. In March of 1955 she gave birth to her first child, Kay Ellen Radach and the following year gave birth to a son, Victor William Radach. In the summer of 1959 Margaret and Richard and their two small children sailed from Sitka Alaska down the inside passage to Seattle in the 22’ sloop, Curlew. After arriving in Seattle and finding the shipwrights on strike, they drove cross country to Minnesota and parts of the Midwest to visit friends and family. They settled in Lynnwood Washington in the early 1960’s and Margaret worked at Northwest Hospital in the Emergency Room. In April of 1964 Margaret gave birth to another daughter, Janet Sue Radach. While raising her family, she worked at several local nursing homes and was the Assistant Director of Nursing at Kings Garden Retirement Center for several years. After retiring from nursing, Margaret worked as an electronics assembler at ELDEC until full retirement. She was an active member of Maple Park Lutheran Brethren Church for 40 years and personally assisted many individuals. Margaret briefly engaged in entrepreneurship with the development and promotion of a family game called Nebula. Margaret was an excellent seamstress and crafts person and had many interests over the years ranging from scuba diving to pottery.
Margaret is survived by her husband Richard Radach, children Kay, Vic and Janet, grandchildren Marisa, Lauren, Ian, Danielle and David and great grandchild Corrine. She is also survived by her sister Janet Jamieson and brother Bruce Jamieson.
