Marian Roman

August 14, 1941 – June 22, 2026

Marian Roman, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2026, at the age of 84.

Born August 14, 1941, in Finleyville, Pennsylvania, Marian was the daughter of Nick and Pauline Petrovich. She was raised in a large, loving family as one of seven children. The close bond she shared with her parents and siblings remained one of the greatest blessings of her life and shaped the kindness, compassion, and devotion she extended to everyone around her.

Marian shared more than 60 wonderful years of marriage with her devoted husband, John Roman. Together they built a life centered on love, faithfulness, and family. She was the beloved and dedicated mother of John C. Roman and Leslie (Roman) Powers, loving grandmother, caring sister, and dear friend to many who will all forever cherish her memory.

Marian enjoyed a long career as a bank teller before retiring. She was known for her warm smile, gentle nature, and genuine interest in the people she met throughout her life.

She found beauty in the simple things—colorful flowers in bloom, birds visiting her yard, breathtaking views, and unique works of art. This brought her joy, but nothing compared to the happiness she found in her family. Above all else, Marian treasured being a mother and a Grammie. She delighted in spending time with her children and grandchildren, celebrating their milestones, offering unwavering love and encouragement, and creating memories they will carry with them forever.

Marian's gentle spirit, generous heart, and quiet strength touched everyone who knew her. She also had a sneaky sense of humor that brought laughter and smiles to those she loved. She will be remembered for her warmth, her grace, and unwavering kindness she gave so freely.

Though her presence will be deeply missed, Marian's love lives on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her legacy is one of kindness, family, and a life beautifully lived. A private Celebration of Life will be held in Bothell, WA on July 18th, 2026, and another will be scheduled for August in Pittsburgh.

Discovered among Marian's cherished keepsakes was a torn page with a quote from Winnie-the-Pooh that perfectly reflects the quiet encouragement and unwavering love she gave to everyone around her:

"Always remember, you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think."

Our angel is shining from above, reminding us to be kind to ourselves and each other.
