Marie C. Willis

Marie C. Willis, 87, passed away in her home on August 6, 2013 in Lynnwood, WA. She was born in Ballard on December 23, 1925. She went to Ballard High School. She met Roy and they lived in Cle Elum raising three children and managing a dairy farm. Times became difficult for Roy & Marie so they sold the farm and moved to North Seattle. Marie was a great cook known for her cinnamon rolls and fresh bread. Marie & Roy enjoyed camping and had many wonderful trips in their motorhome.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Roy Willis Sr.; daughter, Carol Ann Willis; brothers, Stan Skougstad, Archie Skougstad and sister Babe Webb.

She is survived by her sons, Roy Wills Jr, (Butch) his wife Dagny and Harold Willis; grandchildren, Nico Willis & Montel Willis; great grandchildren, Katelyn & Kyla; sister-in-law, Edith Skougstad; cousin, Diane Davenport; nieces and nephews, Sandra Phipps, Edie Smith, Lillian Mikelsen, Dawn Davies-Heideman, Sher Francis, David Nordness, Judi Chadwick, Kathy Wilson, Melody Rowley, Dianna Lasiter, Patty Gray and Dennis Webb.

Marie was a loving mother, aunt and cared about the family. She had a sweet nature and was a bit of a trickster.

Funeral Services will be held on August 13, 2013 at 1:00pm, Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 409 Filbert Rd, Lynnwood, WA 98036.
