

She was born in Woburn, MA February 1925, the only child of Nelson Lord Quimby and Ethel Boutwell.
Marjorie attended Woburn schools and graduated with the class of 1943 at Woburn High School as the featured soloist of her graduation. After graduation she attended the Boston Conservatory of Music for a time, and was a featured soloist throughout the years at many musical functions, weddings and church choirs.
She was extremely proud of her service to her country for two years as a Navy WAVE during World War II. She was a hospital apprentice 1st class and was honorably discharged after her tour of duty.
She was a very loving, kind, compassionate, caring and gentle lady who always had a beautiful smile for everyone she met. After moving to the state of Washington she met the love of her life, Kenneth, and they were married October 1954. They became the parents of Timothy, Katrina and Randy Surdyk.
She loved and dedicated her life to her family, and enjoyed spending time with them, traveling, attending school functions, and to all that they pursued. She was blessed with nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her cousins, Janice Pandolph and her husband, Anthony of Woburn and Joyce Davarich of Reading.
