January 31, 1929 – October 8, 2025
Born in Codegua, Chile on January 31, 1929, Olga Inez Cantillana Ahumada — lovingly known as Madrecita — was one of seven siblings. In her early years, she met and married the love of her life, José Carlos Ahumada Silva, with whom she shared 70 years of marriage. She was a devoted wife who honored her marriage with faith, respect, and enduring love.
Olga lived a full and meaningful life — not only as a devoted mother, but also as a strong, entrepreneurial woman who built and ran successful businesses both in Chile and in the United States. Her work ethic and resilience were matched only by the love she poured into her home and family.
Madrecita was the proud matriarch of a large and growing family, with 28 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Her home was always filled with laughter, love, and the comforting aromas of her cooking. In her kitchen, she passed down cherished recipes and life lessons. In her garden, she cultivated beauty and joy — creating a space where generations of grandchildren played, learned, and made unforgettable memories.
Faith was the foundation of her life. Church was not just a Sunday tradition — it was a way of life she lived daily and shared with her family through her unwavering devotion.
Her love, guidance, and legacy live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
