Ollie Solvberg Kerr

Ollie passed away December 2, 2011 of natural causes. She was born in Baker, North Dakota in 1916 to Cornelious and Ida Solvberg. The family moved to Everett, WA during the depression. Ollie married Cecil Kerr in 1936 and they moved to Monroe in 1945. Together, they served families through the Purdy and Kerr Funeral Home in Monroe, WA. Both were strong supporters of charitable organizations and Ollie was active in the Monroe Garden Club, Golf Club, Lutheran Church and several bridge clubs.

Ollie was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Kerr; and sisters, Irene Holt, Edith Beaman and Marion Solvberg. She is survived by her sister, Shirley Roth; brother, Bud Solvberg; daughters, Joan (Philip) Buchanan of Gilroy, CA and Janice (Bill) Kelly of Edmonds, WA; grandchildren, Kristine (John) Wilson of Mission Viejo, CA, Kelly (Jim) Wiese of San Ramon, CA; Ryan Kelly, Mike (Cori) Kelly, Jessica (Ryan) Dossman and John (fiancé, Katie) Kelly; great grandchildren, Tommy John, Colton and Jessica Wilson, Kristen and Kimberly Wiese and Liam Dossman; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2011, 1:00pm at Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills 409 Filbert Road in Lynnwood, WA.
