Patricia Ann Galvan passed away at her home on October 24, 2012 of natural causes; she was 60.
Born to Henry & Loretta Farnsworth on March 9, 1952, Patricia would grow up with the city of Lynnwood, finding much excitement in its many expansions. She attended St. Pias Catholic School and would later graduate from Meadowdale High School in 1970. All along being doted on and adored by her parents. Throughout her childhood, she would develop a love for travel that would continue throughout her life, often times revisiting cherished family spots throughout the continental United States, with an ability to retell the stories from those memories perfectly to whomever she was with.
As a mother to her son, Miguel, born in 1974, she would pass on the many traditions built from her childhood of unconditional love, compassion, faith, people, and travel—as well as the doting dedication she experienced, taking on fundraising & paper routes so that he could join in extracurricular activities within the community.
In 1977, she would join the Fluke Corporation and commit the next 32 years of her life to them—moving from her entry position in shipping at the Evergreen Way plant to the main campus next to Boeing-Everett working in their financial department as an International agent. An employer she proudly worked for all the way up to her retirement in 2009.
Following the loss of her father in 2002, she would welcome a new family into her heart when Miguel brought home his, then fiancée, Jenifer, and her two young daughters, Jewell & Corey in 2003.
She took great pride in every aspect of her life, and those who knew her never spoke ill of her. As an active member of the Lynnwood Fraternal Order of the Eagles #2888 paired with her long history with both the VFW and Alderwood Manor Youth Club, she volunteered and gave often, even serving as a trustee and board member. As a friend, she gave any way she could to those in need, friend or foe. As a daughter, she was a caregiver, a companion, and a cheerleader. As a mom, she taught through her actions and gave what society all too often overlooks, TIME. As a grandmother, she took nothing about that title for granted; it was all about making the kids feel important and individually special to her in their own unique ways. Patricia was a daughter, friend, mother, and grandmother—each role equally as important in her eyes.
Predeceased by her parents, Henry & Loretta Farnsworth; survived by her son, Miguel, his wife, Jenifer, their daughters, Jewell & Corey, friends, and so many more.
Patricia Ann Galvan, affectionately known as “Patty” was NOTHING near ordinary—for her biggest gift to the rest of us was simply HER.
