

Paulette Salisbury Potter, age 82, passed away March 2, 2025 after a courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis. She was born on August 25, 1942 to Paul and Ruth Nyren in Southington, CT. She is survived by her loving husband of 12 years, Allan Potter; her four daughters and their spouses, Tami and Cory Guthrie, of Gold Bar, WA, Tina and Kurt Lange of Everett, WA, Tanya and Jeff Carlsen of Covington, WA and Tara and Zack Deckett of Edmonds, WA; and 5 wonderful grandchildren, Kendra (Devin) Pierce, Zachary and Kylie Carlsen and Delaney and Colston Deckett. Survivors include her sister Carole (Bob) Muise of Lancaster, PA. Extended family includes numerous nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends.
Paulette is predeceased by her 1st husband of 42 years, Jonathan C. Salisbury, Jr (2005), her parents, Paul (1974) and Ruth (2001), sister Janice (2021) and her brother-in-law Ken (2021). Paulette graduated from Southington High School in 1960. She went on to graduate from The Hartford School of Nursing in September of 1963 with a degree as a Registered Nurse. She married Jon Salisbury in October of 1963 in Connecticut, and due to Jon’s service in the Navy, they moved from Connecticut to Idaho, back to Connecticut and then to Washington. They lived in Everett, WA from 1971 until Jon’s passing in 2005. Paulette married Allan Potter in April of 2013. They lived a wonderful life of traveling all over the world and experiencing new places.
Paulette was a Pediatric nurse for 42 years before her retirement from Providence Medical Center in Everett, WA. She had a servant heart working 4 decades as an RN, then many more years of volunteer work in her retirement years. She loved reading, gardening, soccer, her volunteer work at Assistance League of Everett, following her favorite Seattle sports teams and meeting up with her friends for lunch and happy hour. She especially enjoyed visiting with her girls and their families over the years. Many happy memories were shared.

Paulette’s Celebration of Life will be held at the Legion Hall (145 Alverson Blvd ) in Everett, WA, 98201 on Friday, April 11th from 3—6 pm. Everyone is welcome to come honor and share memories of our Mom.
