R. Gunnar Tegman of Everett, WA passed away peacefully at home on June 9, 2026. He was born on March 1, 1933 in Holmsund, Sweden to Edvin and Alma Tegman. He immigrated to America at the age of 19 along with his parents and 7 of 9 siblings. The other two siblings along with their spouses arrived one year later. They all settled in Ballard, a community in Seattle densely populated by Scandinavians.
In 1955, Gunnar married the love of his life, Ann Sylvia Satermo, and they shared over 71 wonderful years together. During that time they raised 5 children and had a successful career owing their own masonry business.
Gunnar was pre-deceased by his parents, Edvin and Alma; and siblings Asta (Stig), Joseph (Dagny), Lennart, Margaret (Elmer), Torsten, Gosta and daughter-in-law Cindy. He is survived by his wife Ann, his children Diane (Mike), Larry (Beth), Steve (DeYonne), Linda (Brett), Todd, 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of his life will be held July 23rd at 1:00 pm at All Nations Church Seattle (f/k/a Calvary Temple/CCA) 6801 Roosevelt Way NE, Seattle, WA 98115.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made to Northwest University or All Nations Church Seattle.
