Dick was born to Edwin and Dixie Johnson in San Francisco, California, on Aug 24, 1946. They moved to Bremerton, Washington when he was a young boy, where he was raised.
He graduated from East High School in Bremerton in 1964, and was recruited by Boeing in his senior year to study Junior Engineering. He also attended Olympic College.
In 1965, while Dick was working for Boeing, he joined The Army National Guard Reserves for 7 years.
He worked for Boeing for 35 years as a structure designer.
Dick enjoyed sailing, fishing, hiking, photography, traveling, and playing his guitars. He loved a good joke and had a great sense of humor.
He survived by his wife, son, daughter-in-law, four grandchildren, two brothers and one sister.
He will forever be in our hearts.
Dick’s Celebration of Life will be held at Floral Hills Chapel at 409 Filbert Road in Lynnwood, Washington, on July 26, 2014 at 1:00pm.
