Richard Thomas Pierce

Richard (Rick) Thomas Pierce (72) of Marysville, Washington passed away unexpectedly on November 4, 2024. Rick was born November 1, 1952 in Puyallup, Washington to Lodi and Margaret Pierce of Sumner, Washington.

Rick graduated from Sumner Senior High School in 1971. He then attended Central Washington University where he graduated in 1975 with his Bachelor's degrees in Finance and Computer Science. In 1981 he received his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance from the University of Puget Sound.

Rick married Norma Marie Salazar on May 28, 1983. Although they did not have any of their own children, they enjoyed spending time with their family and friends. He enjoyed spoiling his nieces and was affectionately known as “Uncle Rick” by them and their friends

After his retirement from Boeing, Rick loved spending time at their second home in Bullhead City, Arizona. He loved riding out in the desert on his ATV and flying his drone and would often refer to this as his "happy place".

He will be dearly missed by his wife and family and his riding companions in Arizona.

Rick was preceded in death by both parents and his older brother Mark. He is survived by his wife Norma Marie, sisters Jana Pierce and Robin Collins, his brother Doug Pierce, 5 nieces and nephews and 18 grand nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills, 409 Filbert Road in Lynnwood, Washington, Friday June 13, 2025 at 2:00 PM.
