

Bob was born on June 24th, 1931 in Des Moines, IA to Lee and Helen Curtis.
He met his high school sweetheart, LaVonne Joyce, at a dance and knew she was the one-and -only dance partner for him. They were married 58 years.
Bob and LaVonne loved traveling and dancing on the beaches of the world. They spent many years traveling in their motor home in the United States with the Carriage Club members and to Baja California to spend time at their sand lot in Eldorado Estates Resort in San Felipe, BC, Mexico.
Bob loved all out-door activities, built his own canoes, and loved canoeing at the Bowron Lakes Chain and Ross Lake. He was active in Boy Scout Troup 24 of Lynnwood.
Robert R. Curtis was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Master Mason, member of the Royal Arch Masons, Master Mason of Robert Burns Lodge and a plural Master Mason of Eureka Lodge #20, and a member of the Disciples of Christ church.
After attending Drake University and Wichita State University, Bob joined the Air National Guard in Iowa. He reached the rank of Corporal by the time he was honorably discharged from the Air National Guard and began his career with Boeing. He was a Production Control Manager in Kansas and Washington State. He spent the the last two years in Pusan, South Korea, completing 39 years with the Boeing Company.
Bob is survived by his sister, Suzanne Keating, his children, Pamela Gilmore, Richard Curtis, Susan Curtis, Rex Curtis, Kenton Curtis; grand children, Mathew Buchheit, Allison Curtis, Kyle Curtis; nieces, Mary K. Highland, Crista Belt; nephews, Jeff Oden, Max Oden, Mike Curtis; son-in-law, Ronnie Gilmore; daughter-in-laws, Vicki Curtis, Polly Curtis, Jamie Curtis; grand nieces, Lyndsey Belt , Chrissy Highland; great nephews, Bryan Highland, Lucas Oden; and great nephew Trey Cashman.
He was preceded in death by his wife, LaVonne Joyce Taylor Curtis; brothers, Jack Curtis and Richard Curtis.
