Bob married his childhood sweetheart, Maxine Bernice Olson at the age of 14 years. Bob was working in the woods at the age of 15, doing a man's work and earning a man's pay. Bob worked as a logger, carpenter, finally as a general contractor owning a business with his sons, Robin Horne and Jerry Goodwill Sr.
Bob and Mickey were together for 50 plus years raising four children. When Mickey passed in 1996, bob was lucky to find the second love of his life, Leatrice Meyer, they married and were devoted to each other for the next 16 years, never leaving each others side.
Bob is preceded in death by his folks, Robert Henry Horne and Lovida (Brown) Babarovich; step-father, John Babarovich; sister, Betty Bussing; grandson,
Jason L. Horne; great-grandson, Anthony Zain Goodwill.
Bob is survived by his wife, Leatrice; son, Robin (Eileen); daughter, Patricia (Jerry Goodwill Sr); son,
Robert Earl Horne Jr; daughter, Donna Horne; son, Jon A. Horne (Kikki); eight grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
