Robert Terrence Losh

Some people leave behind accomplishments. Others leave behind a legacy measured in the lives they shaped, the convictions they stood for, and the love they gave. Robert “Terry” Losh belonged to the latter.

Terry passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at the age of 82, after a courageous battle. (with illness.) Though his family grieves the loss of an extraordinary husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, they also celebrate a life lived with purpose, conviction, faith, humor, and unwavering devotion to the people and principles he loved most.

Born on March 1, 1944, in Seattle, Washington, to Marion Jean Slizeski Losh and John Harvey Losh, DMD, Terry grew up in Seattle’s Blue Ridge community. He attended Christ the King grade school, Blanchet High School, and later graduated from Seattle University.

He began as a newspaper boy, worked with CYO camps, later worked in the hospitality industry, and for more than three decades, Terry was a self-employed international businessman whose work took him extensively throughout Asia. Among his many ventures was exporting business involving U.S. goods to Asia. Yet if you asked Terry what his greatest accomplishment was, he likely wouldn’t have mentioned a career, a business, or any professional achievement. He would have told you it was his family.

In 1969, Terry met the woman who would become his greatest blessing, Bonnie. After convincing her to join him for a wine appreciation class for their first date, the two began apartnership that would span more than five decades. Terry proposed in November 1971, and they were married on February 26, 1972, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Together, Terry and Bonnie built far more than a marriage. They built a family, a home, businesses, and a life centered on faith, love, laughter, perseverance, and unwavering commitment to one another. Bonnie was Terry’s partner in every sense of the word.

As his work took him around the world, she was the steady force who helped keep both their business and their home moving forward. Through every adventure, success, hardship, and unexpected turn, Bonnie remained faithfully by Terry’s side with extraordinary love, patience, strength, and selflessness. Together, they created the family that became the greatest source of pride in Terry’s life.

He is survived by his beloved wife of fifty-four years, Bonnie; his children, Robert Stanley Losh, Stephanie Jean Losh-Hall, Thomas Michael Losh, and Kesera Joy Hayes; his cherished grandchildren, Madison, Erika, Marisa, Finley, Marley, Monroe, and Sully; his great grandchildren Alexander and Damian; and many extended family members, lifelong friends, neighbors, and others whose lives were enriched by knowing him.

Nothing brought Terry greater joy than being “Dad” and, later, “Grandpa.” He delighted in

watching his grandchildren grow, celebrating their accomplishments, sharing stories, offering advice—whether requested or not—and creating memories that will forever live on in their hearts. His family was never simply part of his life. They were the reason for it.

Terry found happiness in fishing, traveling, spending time outdoors and the time he spent with family. He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus and a man of deep Catholic faith, Terry sought to live his beliefs through generosity, integrity, compassion, service, and devotion to his family and community.

Terry cared deeply about his community and believed citizenship didn’t end at the ballot box. Whether speaking before the Bothell City Council, writing one of his many thoughtful—and often spirited—Facebook posts, or engaging in lively discussions around the dinner table, Terry was never afraid to say what he believed.

Those who knew Terry, however, will remember the stories he told, the lessons he shared, the laughter he created, and the experiences that seemed to follow wherever Terry went.

Because spending a day with Terry almost always meant leaving with a story worth telling.Perhaps Terry’s greatest legacy is not found in a career, a title, a business, or even the causes he championed. It is found in the family he built.
