Robert (Bob) Bryant Maxwell passed away peacefully on July 9, 2026, in Bothell, Washington. He was resting comfortably and was surrounded by family and friends throughout the weeks leading up to his passing.
Bob was born on October 14, 1943, in Seattle, Washington, to Joe and Virginia (Ober) Maxwell. He grew up in the greater Seattle area and graduated from North Kitsap High School in 1961. That year, Bob began his career at The Seattle Times, where he worked for 40 years. He proudly served in the Washington Army National Guard from 1966 to 1972.

Following his retirement in the summer of 2001, he devoted his time to the things he loved most: traveling the world, boating, going to Seattle Mariners and Seahawks games, and attending his grandchildren’s extracurricular activities.
