Bob was born on November 2, 1932, in Butler, PA. Enlisting in the Army at the age of 17, Bob had a very successful career in the Army, earning several citations and awards for bravery for tours in Korea and Vietnam. While stationed in Japan in 1957, Bob met and married the love of his life, Sumiko Takata, his wife for over 55 years.
After retirement from the military, Bob relocated his family to Snohomish County, WA. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 16 years. In retirement, Bob enjoyed traveling to Hawaii, and taking cruises to different destinations. He was passionate about genealogy, contacting and connecting distant relatives, and filling in the family tree.
Bob is survived by his wife, four children and two grandchildren. He was playful, big-hearted, and will be greatly missed.
