Robert Lee Wenzl is a very wise man. His wisdom, from life experiences, self-teaching, and his studies for counseling was offered to me at a time in my life when I felt very low, small, and insignificant. His belief that I could do whatever I wanted to do, his support while I began to actually live my life, not just ride along with the flow, was instrumental for my becoming the person I am now. While I am still small and insignificant in the grand scheme of things, I was never insignificant in his eyes. Robert and I have been out of contact for several years. He used to tell me that when he passed, all of Seattle would shut down for mourning. That didn't happen, and I found his obit in December '21. I thank God every day for Robert's friendship and support, and wonder what Robert is talking to God about today... because we all know he is talking to Him! Enjoy the Limelight, my very good friend.

I have a small beaded purse Robert gave to me years ago, I was looking at it this morning, and went to see what he is up to… I’m sorry to hear of his passing. I met his beautiful wife long ago, and always thought through the years how very patient and caring she must be. My condolences to you. Robert was always full of conversation and could always bring on a laugh or many! 

My condolences to Bob’s wife and family. I worked with Bob for 10 years at Foss Shipyard and enjoyed every encounter we had. I found him to be a great conversationalist on many subjects. He was a passionate baseball fan and although I never played ball with him, I heard he played on some of the company organized teams and was a really good ball player. For the hustle he showed at work, I can believe it. I was very sorry to hear of his passing.

After dropping out of college, and being unemployed while living in the Seattle Rugby team clubhouse, Cousin Bob and Uncle Joe would come by twice a month to take me out to a restaurant for lunch. cheering me up with their wit and humor. Bob took me on tours of the Seattle waterfront, introducing me to folks he knew in the fish processing plants, and inquiring about jobs for me.   Touring the waterfront fish processing plants helped me see this was not the future I wanted and helped me figure out that I really needed to go back to college to finish a degree, and then go to law school. 
Cousin Bob's friendship and kindnesses during my college dropout days helped me get through a rough patch, which is what really matters in a family.
He is missed.

My condolences to Robert's wife and family.

I hadn't seen Robert in many years, but I was saddened to hear of his passing.    Funny and larger than life, Robert was one of a kind.  He made a big impact on my life and will never be forgotten.

Robert L. Wenzl ..Bob is my nephew.  A wonderful caring man.

He will be missed by is wife and brothers and sisters.  Also missed by his many cousins.  

My thanks to him and his wife for remembering me each Christmas over the past years.  

May he rest in peace.  He is in my thoughts and prayers.  Aunt Kathleen.
